Spring Active Style Trends

by Remington Ready April 1, 2015

Activewear isn’t just for the gym anymore—it’s become a style all its own. That means it’s time to upgrade your attire with something you can wear from the gym to the store and everywhere in between. We’ve put together styles from the top two emerging active trends to inspire your style!

Fit and Fluoro

The Fit and Fluoro Active Style trend features an array of bright, rich colors. We're all about these fresh tones that pop with boldness. Don’t be afraid to mix and match the bright colors in a single look and then find a fun print that brings it all together: Geometric or watercolor prints are some of our favorites. So try this vibrant look for your workout or to spice up your lounge day attire.

Pastel Perfect

The Pastel Perfect Double Knit Elastics trend comes from a mix of pretty and fierce. We love the tint of colors that are crisp while still lively. Pastels have been a trendy influence in everyday style and now they’ve made their way to activewear! Pair lighter pastels with richer colors, and look for floral or watercolor prints. You’ll be looking super cute at the gym or anywhere your day might take you!

3 Ways To Style A Floral Kimono

by Ariel Hamilton March 24, 2014

Hey there! My name is Ariel and I'm the face behind AUTEUR ARIEL, a fashion and lifestyle blog. I'm so excited to be guest posting on Remington Ready today!

If there is one trend that I am obsessed with this spring, it's floral kimonos! They're cute, comfy, and brighten up any outfit you wear it with! Here are three different ways you can style a floral kimono this season. If you don't own a floral kimono yet, check out these ones from PacSun and Forever 21! They've got a great variety of them--I want to buy them all!

Look #1: Boho
Floral fits in perfectly with the style of "boho-chic." I love the way the solid color of the maxi skirt compliments the floral pattern of the kimono. Many boho pieces are very flowy and loose and this kimono fits that description to a T! Also, you can never go wrong with a floral headdress when it comes to boho fashion!

Look #2: Casual
Adding a plain white tee and distressed jeans to a floral kimono definitely dresses the look down. I'm all about being comfortable when it comes to fashion and this outfit screams comfort! This outfit is perfect for going to school, hanging with friends, or simply running errands! It's effortless, but the kimono still gives the look a little pizazz.

Look #3: Dressy
You can never go wrong layering chiffon with chiffon! I'm obsessed with the way the floral kimono pops on this fancy white dress. The kimono already has a great sophisticated look, so making it look "dressy" isn't very hard! Adding a cute pair of heels and a statement necklace makes this outfit perfect for a date night or going to church--or any dressy occasion, really!

I love how versatile floral kimonos are! They are definitely an essential when it comes to your spring wardrobe. Feel free to swing by my blog, AUTEUR ARIEL, for more looks and fashion!

2012 Year in Review

by Remington Ready December 31, 2012

As the year winds down today, it is always fun to look back on the year and all the trends that surrounded us. With fashion and hair always revolutionizing, each year brings us new and exciting things to look forward to. Here are the trends that defined 2012, and next week look for our guest blogger from Vanilla Fringe, giving us some insight into the trends that are here to stay for 2013.

The Ballerina Bun: the ballerina bun defined hair in 2012. With its simple and sleek look, every girl tried this style out a few times. It even got trendy renditions as the year went on.

The Peplum Top: this girly and flirty top seemed to be all the rage this year. The trend floated over to skirts and dresses, making it a must have in any girl’s closet.

Faux Fur: whether it’s a fur vest, a fur coat, or a fur scarf. Fur was everywhere this year!

Loafers: loafers definitely made a comeback. From Target to Gap, every major store was carrying loafers in solid colors, patterned designs, and crazy textures.

Ankle Booties: ankle booties are all the rage. Every store had so many styles to choose from it was hard to find a go-to pair!

Fall Trends to Try
1) Faux it up!
Faux fur all the rage (& perfect for this pescatarian). Cozy up with faux this season
Pair with jeans or as an add-on to your latest dress.

2) Faux leather
{Classic style over a basic tee}
Wear over a  printed dress
{Perfect over a flowy blouse & leggings}

3)Scarf central.
A little red, a little green, a little…whatever color your fashion heart desires!
This season you can replace your necklace with a BOLD statement color instead.

4) Jeans-skinny it up!
A lifted toosh is the BEST accessory. Life those cheeks up with a little help, like 7 jeans!

5) Boots galore
Of course you must strut in style. How about a fold-over zipper boot?  Be one of the first taking over this new trend.

Lindsey

My Fall Wish List

by Tammy Gibson September 30, 2011

My Fall Wish List

Every season holds new must-have items to purchase for your wardrobe.  What fun would it be to not update with at least a few key pieces, right?!  We’ve heard about the accessory trends reported by Bethany Winters, let’s talk fashion!

Break it down:

~Cobalt blue is an unexpected and lovely color for fall. This House of Harlow 1960′s Antler Cuff is a beautiful choice for a statement piece!

~Wide leg jeans are the cut of choice this season. While skinny jeans and jeggings still have a place in the wardrobe (we couldn’t tuck into tall boots without them!), the wide leg is sophisticated and make your legs look a mile long. Pair with heels for the best look.

~Capes are on-trend and so chic! I love this one with the plaid pattern and tie front!

~Boots that are versatile enough to wear with jeans or dresses, like ankle boots, are your best bet if you can only afford one pair this season! I’m a fan of the hardware on this pair!

~Cool cap. Really, there is no better way to hide your hair on days that it shouldn’t be seen! You know those days…! Don’t settle for a traditional cap, try something way more stylish like this schoolboy style!

That’s my short list…I really could go on and on.  I’m saving for that cuff (and the matching ring!) but I’m getting that cap sooner than later!

What’s on your fall wish list?

Love & Hugs,
Tammy

Kardashian Collection At Sears Review

by Lindsey Holder September 27, 2011

Kardashian Kollection at Sears

Eager to check out the new Kardashian Collection, I raced to my nearest Sears. Is that where I am going?

What a surreal feeling to be going into Sears to shop for clothes. I think of that store when I need a new washer or dryer, but not the latest style must-haves! To my surprise, the collection was laid out nicely. Of course it would be-it’s the Kardashian name!

The collection was smaller than I thought it would be, as some pieces on-line I could not find in the store. The first impression the line reminded me of was New York style. The majority of the collection was either black or dark in color (grey or dark blue). I rounded up a few pieces that grabbed my attention & headed to the dressing rooms.

My review:
