Back To School

It’s that time of year again, and while I can’t guarantee you’ll ace quantum physics and OChem – I can give you the 411 on Beauty 101 so you will at least look your best while you hardly study study hard.

1) Clarisonic Mia

Not only does the Mia remove every bit of dirt and makeup leaving your skin feeling super soft and clean, but it does all the work for you which is especially important during those times you just don’t feel like washing your face before you go to sleep. I actually look forward to using my Clarisonic every night.

2) Smith’s Rosebud Salve

I’m never without a small tin of this cult lip balm. It leaves even the most cracked/chapped lips feeling smooth. It doubles as an amazing cuticle cream. It calms any irritations, burns or cuts. I have one in my school bag, one in my car and one on my night table: total staple!

3) Garnier Anti-Dark Circle Eye Roller

This eye roller is amazing for those nights when you just didn’t catch enough Z’s. The gel-like product reduces dark circles leaving eyes brighter, and the roller ball helps stimulate under eyes diminishing the appearance of under eye circles for that I-just-had-8-full-hours-of-sleep look.

4) Shu Uemura Eye Lash Curler

I contemplated leaving this one of the list because it’s a little hard to get a hold on these days (online only) but I cannot find another curler that curls quite so nicely as my Shu. For those days when you just don’t have enough time for a full face of makeup, you’ll be amazed at far curled lashes and a few coats mascara can go as far as making you look awake.

5) Remington Ultimate Stylist

Flat iron and curling iron in one tool? Not only is this 2-fer an amazing steal, but you don’t even have to remove the plates to switch from one setting to another. The style options are endless and you don’t have to worry about losing counter space (or outlet space).

6) Got2b Rockin’ It Dry Shampoo

I cannot tell you how many times I’ve overslept my alarm, or been up all night cramming for a final only to realize I have no time to shower. The solution? Dry shampoo. I like the spray kind because it’s quick to use, spritz it on the roots the let sit for a minute before you brush it out. It leaves your hair smelling and looking freshly washed – no one will know the difference.
